FirstWave Cloud Technology (ASX:FCT) has this week extended its agreement with Telstra Group (ASX:TLS) to continue supplying cybersecurity software and services supporting Australian Federal Government agencies, reinforcing a partnership that has spanned more than two decades.

The renewed Secure Internet Gateway (SIG) agreement will run for a further 12 months from July and includes an additional one-year extension option.

Under the arrangement, Telstra will continue delivering FirstWave’s Australian Cyber Security Centre Information Security Manual (ISM)-compliant CyberCision platform to several Federal Government customers.

CyberCision provides cloud-based email security and cybersecurity services designed to meet the strict security requirements of Australian government organisations, with the platform forming part of Telstra’s managed security offering for public sector customers.

The company noted its business has become significantly more diversified in recent years and is no longer as reliant on Telstra as it once was.

Alongside its long-standing government relationship, FirstWave has continued expanding its cybersecurity business through new enterprise customers, AI-powered compliance software and global distribution partnerships.

FirstWave’s management said the newly renewed Telstra partnership remains strategically important, providing a foundation for continued growth in government cybersecurity while supporting the broader rollout of the CyberCision platform across Australian and international markets.
