- Equal payments will be established from an initial 12 month period

Force Commodities has entered an agreement with Shire Civils for the purchase of mobile crushing and screening equipment for the Tshimpala Project, Malawi.
The mobile crushing and screening equipment comprises of a Metro Locotrack LT 106 Mobile Jaw Crusher, LT106, a Metso Locotrack LT 1213 Mobile Rotary Crusher and a Metso Locotrack ST 4.8 Mobile Screen.
In addition to this agreement, Shire will be engaged to establish the platforms for the mobile equipment at the processing site, transport and commission the equipment and train staff, who will use the equipment, appropriately.
The equipment is located in Lilongwe, 45 kilometres from the Tshimpala project, and while it is second hand it’s in good condition with only 1340 operating hours between the two pieces.
The equipment will be provided under an operating lease agreement with Shire and equal payments will be established over the initial 12 months.
Shire is an established Malawian based engineering and civil construction company with over 55 years experience.
It has a large fleet of mobile plant and construction equipment and operates collection quarries. It also has fully equipped modern material testing labourites in Lilongwe as well as professional staff and services in multiple fields such as structural design, geology and geotechnical investigations.
At the Tshimpala project, Phase 1 exploration and activities have begun following the completion of legal and technical due diligence. The execution of the acquisition documentation is expected shortly.
The initial exploration activities will consist of test-pitting, trenching, sampling and geological mapping. This will initially focus on the areas of exposed high-grade lead and silver mineralisation both in and around the Grand Canyon, Small Canyon and Riverside open pits.
It will follow up on previous geological mapping and ground electromagnetic surveys which have already identified multiple zones of parallel and shallow mineralisation.
A total of 2500 metres of reverse circulation drilling is planned to be completed as part of Phase 1 to determine the ore locality and allow for Force to outline an initial JORC compliant resource.
Commissioning and delivery of the mobile plant and equipment are scheduled to be completed in the December 2019 quarter.
