Forrestania Resources (ASX: FRS) continues to add to its WA gold numbers with the release of a JORC-compliant mineral resource estimate (MRE) for the Tampia deposit of 4.6 million tonnes at 1.50 grams per tonne (g/t) for 223,300 ounce of gold.
Tampia is another piece of the “hub and spoke” strategy Forrestania is progresssing in WA, taking historical assets, rejuvenating them with modern exploration and defining low cost development options.
The historical Tampia project is located on granted Mining Lease M70/816, approximately 75km south of Merredin in the Wheatbelt region of WA.
The deposit was discovered in the 1980s by BHP, before Ramelius Resources acquired the project from Explaurum in 2019 and Forrestania Resources acquired the project from Ramelius in September 2026.
“This maiden estimate highlights a significant addition to the Forrestania mineral resources inventory, providing additional mineral resource ounces within trucking distance of the Edna May processing facility,” chairman, David Geraghty, said.
“With Tampia located within our newly acquired Westonia Hub, we believe this mineral resource will play an important role in Forrestania’s strategy of establishing long-term gold production supported by multiple deposits located within haulage distance of existing processing infrastructure.”
Forrestania has transformed rapidly from a grassroots mineral explorer into an emerging multi-hub WA gold producer
The company is building a regional consolidation play across the state;s Southern Cross, Eastern Goldfields and Forrestania greenstone belts, anchored by two primary processing hubs supported by the Edna May and Lake Johnston processing plants.
