Frugl Group’s (ASX:FGL) company secretary resigns

Frugl Group (FGL) has announced its company secretary Sonu Cheema has resigned.

The board thanked Sonu for his contribution to the company.

Andrew Brickley has been appointed to take on the available role, he will commence the position on March 19.

With over 10 years’ of experience in the governance and company secretarial
roles with public and private companies, Andrew will bring extensive knowledge to the company.

Frugl is a price comparison platform that allows families to compare the cost of goods between different supermarket retailers in their local areas.

Last week, the company partnered with Metcash Food for the supply of its platform.

Metcash Food is a division of Metcash, Australia’s leading wholesale and marketing company, which had sales in excess of $13 billion in financial year 2020.

The partnership is for an initial two years, with a further one-year option available if the companies choose to extend.

“The agreement between Frugl and such a significant market player in Metcash reflects not only the quality of our retail data asset, but the expertise and understanding of the retail industry that we possess to further unlock business value from it,” Managing Director Sean Smith said in March.

On market close, Frugl is down 4.69 per cent and is 6.1 cents per share.
