Future Battery Minerals (FBM) has unveiled “exceptional” assay results from a phase two drilling program at its Nevada Lithium Project (NLP) in the United States.

The results confirmed the presence of thick and shallow lithium-bearing claystone at the Lone Mountain prospect within the NLP.

The phase two drilling program builds on the success of the company’s phase one program.

In this latest program, downhole thicknesses of up to 179.8 metres were confirmed.

The mineralised strike length now spans three kilometres east-west and 1.3 kilometres north-south, with potential to extend an additional two kilometres southward.

Future Battery Minerals plans to commence phase three drilling in September 2023 to infill and extend the mineralised trend in the Nevada Lithium Project. The drilling program will comprise both reverse circulation (RC) and diamond core drilling (DD), with a focus on defining a maiden mineral resource (MRE) by Q1 2024.

Future Battery Minerals was up 9.52 per cent, trading at 11.5 cents at 1:43 pm AEST.
