Gateway Mining (GML) has received further high-grade assay results from its Gidgee Gold Project in Western Australia.

Results come from the recently completed reverse circulation (RC) and diamond drilling program focused on the 2.5-kilometre northwest margin of the Montague Granodiorite.

An 800-metre portion of this strike remains largely untested and drilling was designed to test for the southern extensions of the mineralisation and repeat structures at depth.

A total of 25 RC holes, for 4154 metres, and one diamond hole, for 588.9 metres, were drilled.

Best new results include three metres at 11.5 grams of gold per tonne (g/t) from 177 metres; and 3.2 metres at 5g/t gold from 314 metres.

Managing Director Mark Cossom was excited by these results and said the company will review the project to unlock its full potential.

“These latest results have returned two outstanding high-grade, high-tenor intercepts approximately 300 metres apart between the Montague-Boulder and Northeast pits — a fantastic result,” Mr Cossom commented.

“Once we receive the final outstanding results from recent drilling, we will undertake a broad strategic review of the entire area to determine the most effective forward pathway to drill out resources and unlock the full potential of the Gidgee Project.”

Shares in Gateway were steady on the market and trading at 1.8 cents at 12:31 pm AEST.
