GenusPlus Group (ASX: GNP) has been awarded a major design and construct contract by Atmos Renewables for the Parron Maam Marang Farm Substation in WA.

GenusPlus has been ordered to deliver a 330kV Terminal, 330kV Transmission Lines Works and associated ancillary works within the 330kV substation.
The work is scheduled for completion in 2028, with the contract part of the overall 470MW Parron Maam Marang wind farm project, located in Badgingarra in WA.
Genus has performed some preliminary early works at the project, including detailed design, procurement of long-lead items and bulk earthworks, with the total contract value for the contract, including the early works, having a value of circa $135 million.
MD, David Riches, said the wind farm project is supported through the federal government’s flagship Capacity Investment Scheme (CIS) as the state prepares to exit coal-fired power by 2030.
“Genus has worked closely with Atmos and is pleased to have been selected by Atmos Renewables to deliver this important package of electrical infrastructure works for the Parron Maam Marang Farm,” Mr Riches said.
“This contract builds on our relationship with Atmos continuing on from the Merredin BESS project. It is a strong endorsement of our delivery performance and the resilience of our customer relationships, reinforcing our position as a trusted long‐term partner.
“We look infrastructure capability to the project and delivering the grid connection for this critical infrastructure for Western Australia.
Earlier this month GenusPlus was awarded a contract to deliver a 400 MW / 1.86 GWh Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) in Victoria for Birdwood Energy Reserve.
The project is located at Wodonga in Victoria and represented a significant addition to Genus’ growing portfolio of large-scale renewable energy and energy storage infrastructure projects.
Construction is scheduled for completion in late 2028. The contract value is approximately $160 million.
Under the contract, Genus will deliver the balance of plant works including civil, structural and electrical infrastructure, high-voltage connection assets, communications and control systems, and testing and commissioning, leveraging its extensive capabilities across engineering, procurement, construction, high-voltage infrastructure.
