Gladiator Resources (GLA) has begun the resource drill program at the Victoria Star Prospect within its Bendoc Gold Project.

The Bendoc Project lies 12 kilometres south of Delegate in New South Wales and covers 220 square kilometres over the historical Bendoc, Bonang and Clarkesville goldfields.

The drill rig mobilised to site yesterday and will undertake 1200 metres of reverse circulation (RC) drilling.

However, the Victorian COVID-19 restrictions announced yesterday may impact the schedule and potentially delay the results.

Work is likely to be completed by mid-August with samples submitted for analysis at the same time.

Once received, the results will be used to plan the estimation of a mineral resource scheduled to be released in the December quarter.

Chairman Ian Hastings is excited to begin drilling at the project.

“The company is pleased to finally commence its drilling campaign for its Bendoc Gold Project following numerous COVID-19 related delays over the past year, even through further interruptions are likely,” Mr Hastings said.

“The company expects the current drill program to help establish the validity of the geological model and estimation of a mineral resource at Victoria Star.”

Shares in Gladiator were up 6.25 per cent on the market and were trading at 1.7 cents at 11:55 am AEST.
