Global Health (GLH) will offer its telehealth platform to the healthcare industry for free during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company is now waiving the monthly subscription fee for its Hot Health platform for all new customers until mid-June.

In a time when social distancing is of critical importance to stop the spread of the coronavirus, telehealth services allow patients to still connect with GPs, allied health and mental health providers in a way that keeps everyone safe.

Earlier this month, the Federal government added a number of telehealth services to the Medicare Benefits Scheme to allow people in self-isolation to have their telehealth consultations bulk-billed.

Global Health’s Hot Health platform allows patients to schedule an appointment, access resources and connect with a GP for a video consultation.

CEO Mathew Cherian said the company wants to do what it can to make a positive difference in difficult times.

“Global Health would like to support our customers and the healthcare industry throughout the COVID-19 pandemic in every way possible. Therefore, as of last week, we have been offering our telehealth platform HotHealth to all new HotHealth customers, waiving the subscription fee.”

“HotHealth gives a safe and secure solution to provide continuity of care to patients when they need it from the comfort and safety of their own home.”

Shares in Global Health are worth 13.5 cents apiece at market close.
