Global Lithium Resources (GL1) has begun reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Manna lithium project in Western Australia.

Western Australian-based contractor Profile Drilling Services has been engaged to undertake the drilling which initially consists of 20,000 metres.

Notably, this will be the first drilling campaign Global Lithium has undertaken at the project since it acquired it in December 2021.

Global Lithium has also deployed a mobile camp to Manna to provide accommodation and infrastructure facilities to the geology team and drilling contractors.

A RC rig has arrived on site with diamond drilling planned to begin in June.

Following the drilling program, Global Lithium is planning on undertaking a mineral resource update.

The release of the mineral resource update is subject to the timely return of assays and will incorporate the results of this drilling and metallurgical testwork that is targeted for completion in Q4.

Manna currently has an inferred JORC mineral resource estimate of 9.9 million tonnes at 1.14 per cent lithium oxide.

“We are pleased to announce that the company has commenced active exploration activities at the Manna lithium project, marking an important milestone for GL1,” Head of Geology Stuart Peterson commented.

“The results from this program will be incorporated into an updated Manna mineral resource which we expect to announce later this year.”

“In addition to the commencement of drilling at Manna, our RC drilling campaign at the Marble Bar lithium project is also progressing well with 53 per cent of the 60,000-metre program completed to date.”

Global Lithium was up 2.55 per cent with shares trading at $1.61 on market close.
