Riversgold has had further exploration success.

Riversgold (ASX:RGL) has drilled further shallow gold hits in the final 16 holes of the 2025 program at the Northern Zone project north of Kalgoorlie. The results from the final holes drilled in late CY25 have returned further high-grade gold intersections, including eight metres at 5.81 grams per tonne (g/t) gold from 46m; 4m at 4.09 g/t gold from 54m; and 7.0m at 3.48 g/t gold from 48m.

Ed Mead, Rivergold’s exploration director, said the results have come with the company’s 2026 drilling program due to commence on February 10.

“These latest results, the last of CY25, are excellent and continue to excite us as we continue to enlarge the north-eastern gold mineralised zone, and more importantly, have confirmed the continuity of the previously undrilled central saddle zone between the eastern and western mineralised zones,” Mr Mead said.

“Our modelling suggests this could constitute part of an approximately 600m wide zone of shallow oxide mineralisation overlying the Northern Zone porphyry system.”

Riversgold told shareholders the new results found drilling continues to intersect the mineralised host porphyry over an increasing footprint and validated the broader gold mineralisation model.

Having drilled the porphyry zone to around 500sqm, the company is now preparing for deeper drilling. The depth test will start after the installation of a process with new MEGA Kalgoorlie project development partner, Mega Resources.

“The outcomes from the 2025 drilling have been very effective in enlarging the shallow, oxide gold footprint at our Kalgoorlie Gold Project, and strengthening the MEGA Resources mining scenario for 2026,” Mr Mead said.

“We are consistently achieving the goal of making the project bigger in the oxide zone, and we will continue to make this shallow gold project significantly larger in Q1 and Q2.”

RGL has fallen slightly, to 1.4cps.
