Golden Deeps (GED) has extended its upcoming drilling program to include the Nosib Block copper–vanadium mine.
Last month, Golden Deeps began preparations for an upcoming drilling program at its Khusib Springs copper deposit in Namibia.
This upcoming program at Khusib will consist of around 18 reverse circulation (RC) holes to target high-grade copper–silver mineralisation.
At the Nosib Block, Golden Deeps will now drill a further 11 RC holes, for 650 metres, to test copper mineralisation on the contact zone.
This drilling will also test for mineralisation in the footwall, where material was mapped and determined to extend to the south for 50 metres.
In 1915 copper mineralisation was discovered at Nosib Block and then mined from 1917 to 1920 to a depth of 120 metres.
Previous underground sampling undertaken by Golden Deeps has returned up to 9.3 per cent copper, 10.59 per cent lead, 7.92 per cent silver and 1.12 per cent vanadium oxide.
Mineralisation dips moderately to the north and is hosted by sandstone wth dolomite to the north and basement granite to the south.
Work is scheduled to begin this month but may be pushed back if the recent heavy rains continue.
Golden Deeps is up 9.09 per cent on the market and shares are trading at 1.2 cents at 12:01 pm AEST.
