Golden Mile Resources (G88) has completed an aircore drilling program at its Yuinmery project in the Youanmi gold mining district in Western Australia.

The program included 139 holes, totalling 2265 metres, and tested the Elephant Reef, Ladies Patch and Hammerhead gold geochemical targets.

The company will initially submit four-metre composite samples for assaying to identify gold mineralised zones for re-sampling.

However, due to laboratory demand, Golden Mile is expecting results in 10 to 12 weeks.

Yuinmery is host to a roughly nine-kilometre strike length of the Yuinmery fault, a major northwest trending structure that is interconnected to the Youanmi fault and may also be a major gold fluid pathway.

Recently, there have been several gold discoveries within the Youanmi district including Rox Resources’ (RXL) Youanmi gold project and Ramelius Resources’ (RMS) Penny Wise project.

Earlier this month, Golden Mile received positive results from its stage two metallurgical test work at the Quicksilver nickel-cobalt project in WA, demonstrating the potential for a low energy customised multi-product beneficiation process.

The test work expanded the company’s knowledge of the unique saprolitic mineralisation at Quicksilver.

G88 shares were in the grey and trading at 5.5 cents per share at 1:50 pm AEST.
