Golden Mile Resources (G88) has received results from the recently completed soil sampling program at its Yuinmery Project.

The Yuinmery Project lies roughly 50 kilometres northeast of Perth within the Murchison Region of Western Australia.

All up, 451 samples were collected to infill previously collected historical results.

Samples were also collected over the western area which is considered prospective for copper, lead, zinc and nickel mineralisation.

The results correlate well with historical results and have confirmed gold-in-soil anomalies at the Ladies Patch and Elephant Reef prospects.

The Ladies Patch Prospect is a two kilometre long anomaly that has been only partly tested by previous explorers.

Best historical results include five metres at 1.49 grams of gold per tonne (g/t) from zero metres, three metres at 1.33g/t gold from zero metres and three metres at 1.03g/t gold from three metres.

Given these results and the size of the gold anomaly, Golden Mile considers Ladies Patch to be a high priority target for follow up reverse circulation (RC) and aircore drilling.

The Elephant Reef anomaly has seen no historical drilling despite 115 ounces of gold recovered from quartz vein and 94 ounces recovered from drainage channels.

Follow up drilling is currently being planned.

“These newly identified targets are in addition to samples confirming the broad zone of gold anomalism at the Elephant Reef and Ladies Patch prospects which are adjacent to a major controlling structure in a exploration hot spot,” Managing Director James Merrillees said.

Golden Mile was trading in the grey with shares at 5.3 cents apiece at 1:23 pm AEST.
