Golden Rim Resources (GMR) has recommenced reverse circulation (RC) drilling at its Kada gold project in Guinea.

The program plans for 5000 metres of drilling, with the first assays expected late this month.

The drilling will focus on targeting shallow oxide gold mineralisation across multiple prospects along the 15 kilometre long Kada gold corridor.

The target areas are outside the company’s mineral resource area.

Managing Director Craig Mackay said the plan is to expand gold resources at the target areas.

“After the success of our resource definition drilling and our milestone maiden 930,000-ounce mineral resource at Kada, we are excited to commence exploration drilling with the objective of expanding the gold inventory along the Kada Gold Corridor, focussing on shallow oxide mineralisation,” he said.

“Drilling will target several exciting prospects both north and south of the mineral resource area that we have identified through auger drilling, regional mapping and rock chip sampling.”

Shares were trading 10.3 per cent higher today at 7.5 cents just before market close.
