Golden State Mining (GSM) has commenced reverse circulation (RC) drilling at its Yule project in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.

The company has secured a drilling contractor and will complete about 10 holes for a total of 1500 metres.

It is aiming to follow up on lithium and gold targets, identified in air-core intercepts from last year.

Managing Director Michael Moore said he was excited to get the drill program underway.

“This near 1500-metre program has been designed to follow up on the anomalous lithium pathfinder elements already identified in previous drilling as well as a significant arsenic anomaly that has driven the selection of key gold target areas,” he said.

“The company is progressing exploration activities across a number of our self-generated projects, including recently granted tenure at our emerging Payne’s Find project, and investors can look forward to targeted field exploration over the second half of 2022.”

Shares in the company last traded at 4.2 cents each on July 18.
