Golden State Mining (GSM) has announced Janet Wicks, a current Non-Executive Director, has submitted her resignation.

Janet served as Non-Executive Director since November 2018 and provided nearly 20 years of experience in the mining and construction industry.

She onboarded the company the same month it listed on the Australian Securities Exchange. Since then, she’s been a valuable contribution, particularly in relation to exploration in the Murchison region.

“On behalf of my fellow Directors, I would like to thank Janet for her important contribution during her term with Golden State Mining,” Chairman Damien Kelly said.

Janet completed a Bachelor of Psychology at Murdoch University in the late 1990s. Following her degree, Ms Wicks dabbled in volunteer work at the Activ Foundation until 2003.

Between 2003 and 2009, Janet worked in Human Resources roles at various mining companies such as Bradken and Rio Tinto.

The next three years saw the former Non-Executive Director work in leadership roles at West Perth-based construction company, AusGroup.

In 2012, Ms Wicks left to rekindle her role in the mining sector where she worked at Western Mining.

“The company has benefited from her insightful contributions and her many years of mining industry experience and local knowledge, particularly in the Murchison area, and we wish her well in her future roles,” Damian added.

Golden State Mining’s shares remain flat today and are trading for 7.4 cents each at 12:45 pm AEDT.
