Good Drinks Australia (GDA) has entered a distribution agreement with North American beverage company Molson Coors to exclusively represent three of its brands in Australia.

Under the deal, GDA will represent Molson Coors’ Miller Chill, Miller Genuine Draught, Coors, and Molson Canadian brands.

Meanwhile, Managing Director John Hoedemaker said the partnership would expand the avenues to market for Good Drinks Australia’s brands.

“Molson Coors has a strong and vibrant brand portfolio with a significant following in Australia, a deep history in the USA and is a truly global business,” Mr Hoedemaker said.

“The decision by Molson Coors to partner with Good Drinks Australia is a further vote in confidence in our national sales and marketing team and our capabilities to grow brands in the Australian beer market.”

GDA said the agreement was expected to deliver between $35 and $40 million in revenue and between $3 and $4 million in EBITDA.

Further, the company said the partnership aligned with its strategy to support brands that drive margin growth as well as develop its sales and marketing teams.

According to GDA, the partnership will provide access to broader categories of the liquor market and increase the company’s market share on the east coast of Australia.

The new brands are not expected to compete with GDA’s existing portfolio or interfere with its current production capacity.

The Molson Coors brands will be manufactured by Coopers Premium Beverages, with some brands being imported.

GDA shares were up 4.67 per cent to 78 cents each at 10:52 am AEST.
