Great Western Exploration (GTE) has revealed low-grade assay results from its phase two reverse circulation (RC) drilling at the Harris’ Find prospect within its Yandal West project.

Just one hole remains to be assayed from the phase two program in January 2023, with all other holes interesting the targeted mineralised structure but returning predominantly narrow low-grade results.

The latest results for six RC holes indicate gold anomalies of mostly less than three grams per tonne (g/t) from a depth of up to 70 metres, with one assay of 3.16 g/t of gold within a one-metre intersection from 48 metres.

GTE says while the results have downgraded Harris’ Find, the structure remains open three kilometres to the north.

Rotary Air Blast drilling (RAB) results have previously been recorded in this area along with high-grade rock chips that continue along-strike.

The company said it would now re-rank the project alongside other projects and targets within its portfolio.

The Yandal West Project lies within the world-class Yandal Greenstone Belt, 55 kilometres north of the Bronzewing Gold Mine and 60 kilometres south of the Jundee Gold Mine.

Great Western shares were trading at 5.1 cents at 1:48 pm AEDT.
