GTI Resources (GTR) has completed its maiden drill program at the Jeffery Project in the Henry Mountains region in Utah.

The program targeted 12 drill holes to test the extent of shallow uranium and vanadium mineralisation across the southern portion of the project. GTI says a total of 182 metres of core drilling was sufficient to gather a meaningful data set.

Near the new drill holes are a further six historical drill holes that were “subsequently logged with a downhole gamma probe.”

These new holes are being used to further inform GTI’s understanding of the mineralisation and help guide the company to the next phase of exploration.

The next phase of exploration could potentially include a much larger drill program, which will target the potential development of a JORC code mineral resource.

The triuranium octoxide downhole gamma probe assay data from the 12 new and six historical drill holes are currently being processed and will be reported in the next 10 days.

Additionally, a drill core is being logged, cut and sampled for analysis, and these results are expected to be delivered by mid-August.

GTI is down 3.70 per cent on the market this morning and is selling shares for 2.6 cents each at 11:34 am AEST.
