GTI Resources (GTR) has identified five new significant gold-in-soil anomalies at the Niagara gold project in Western Australia.

1000 soil samples were sent to ALS laboratories for gold and multi-element analysis with results confirming several new anomalies.

One of the anomalies is 500 metres long and 100 metres wide, returning a peak grade of 79 parts per billion (ppb) gold.

It lies in the northeastern corner of the project and remains open to the northeast.

Two other anomalies also span a length of 500 metres and a width of 100 metres but returned between 10ppb gold and 25ppb gold.

Both follow a northeast-southwest trending magnetic high that runs from the northeast to the centre of the project.

In the southern part of the soil sampling area a broad zone of anomalous gold and copper was identified with a peak value of 1360ppb gold.

This anomaly lies over the same northeast-southwest trending magnetic high.

Several areas also returned up to 50ppb gold, however, further work is required to identify the potential source of anomalism.

Additionally, aircore drilling is progressing well with 15 holes completed to date.

As they ended at relatively shallow depths, infill holes are expected to be drilled to ensure sufficient depth-testing and coverage of these anomalies.

Work is scheduled to be completed by early October with results expected later in the month, and following the results, reverse circulation drilling will be undertaken to test bedrock targets.

GTI Resources is steady on the market and shares are trading for 2.2 cents each at 12:31 pm AEST.
