GTI Resources (GTR) has received assays results from a recent shallow aircore drilling program at its Niagara Gold Project in Western Australia.

The company completed 52 holes, for 2553 metres, at the eastern part of the project to refine drill targets for an upcoming reverse circulation (RC) drilling program.

Pleasingly, drilling intersected elevated gold values and anomalism of up to 2.78g/t gold in Anomaly B which was defined by hole NGAC004.

Drilling also confirmed several of the soil geochemistry anomalies within the shallow regolith while some anomalies are interpreted to be the result of surficial scavenging of gold by calcrete and have been scaled down in ranking.

Other anomalies have been defined by surface anomalism in sub-cropping basement rocks. These are expected to be drilled in the RC drilling program.

The drilling samples were sent off to be analysed by ALS laboratories along with an additional 229 QAQC samples.

GTI has also planned to conduct further multi-element analyses for 670 samples as the assays were only analysed for gold. However due to their being a high demand for lab and assaying services, results aren’t expected until mid-November.

Because the company wants to use the multi-element geochemistry to refine drill targeting, the RC drilling won’t begin until early December.

Company shares are trading down 4.76 per cent for 2 cents in early morning trade.
