GWR Group (GWR) and joint venture partner Pilbara Resource Group are on track to make the first shipment of ore from the C4 deposit.

The deposit has a mineral resource estimate of 21.6 million tonnes at 60.7 per cent iron and is situated within the Wiluna West Iron Ore Project.

Iron ore from the C4 deposit is being stockpiled at the Geraldton port in WA’s midwest ahead of shipping later this month according to GWR Chairman Gary Lyons.

“I am excited to advise shareholders the iron ore stockpiles are currently building at Site 88 Storage Facility at the Port of Geraldton with operations on site continuing to progress.”

“The company remains on track for the first historical shipment of Iron Ore to our offtake partner in late January 2021 in what will be the final key production milestone of stage one, with Cargo Ship PANAFRICAN expected to arrive at the Port of Geraldton this month,” he said.

Meanwhile, GWR Group is completing a review of the entire Wiluna West Project, commencing with an assessment and modelling to increase the production tonnage at the C4 deposit.

The second stage of the review process, which is already underway, aims to optimise the remaining tonnes at the deposit and further discussions with relevant parties.

Shares have been trading 2.33 per cent higher at 44 cents at 10:47 am AEDT.
