GWR Group (GWR) and mining consultants Optiro have updated the JORC 2004 mineral resource to JORC 2012 at the Wiluna West Gold Project in WA.

The new JORC mineral resource estimate (MRE) has increased by 403,000 tonnes and now reads 4.57 million tonnes at 2.0g/t gold for 293,000 ounces of gold.

The MRE was updated to JORC 2004 standards in 2010 and GWR requested an update in 2019 to the Eagle, Golden Monarch, Joyners Find and Emu deposits.

Optiro has now reviewed the Brilliant, Gold Hawk, Bottom Camp, Bowerbird, Comedy King, Bronzewing, Golden King and Wren deposits.

The MRE for these deposits was based on data from 1192 reverse circulation, rotary airblast and diamond holes.

“With GWR’s Wiluna West Iron Ore Project C4 deposit now delivering revenue streams for shareholders, the company has been very active in its efforts to maximise the value of the Wiluna West Gold Project,” Chairman Gary Lyons said.

“We believe we are close to finalising a plan that will reward shareholders and realise the potential of our gold portfolio,” he added.

GWR is now nearing completion of its Wiluna Gold Project review and expects to update shareholders shortly.

Shares in GWR are up 3.33 per cent and are trading at 31 cents at 10:40 am AEST.
