Hawkstone Mining (HWK) has received the remaining results from rock chip sampling at the Lone Pine Project in Idaho.

The rock chip sampling program included 132 rock chip samples being collected from areas that are considered prospective for gold mineralisation.

Results peaked at 24.7g/t gold and 45.5g/t silver, and they confirm Hawkstone’s belief that the area is prospective for multiple gold mineralised zones.

Work has also improved the understanding of the geology and mineralisation in the area.

“These remaining reconnaissance results confirm our interpretation that the Lone Pine Gold Project has potential to host multiple gold mineralised zones,” Managing Director Paul Lloyd commented.

“Our prospecting work across a number of areas has produced high grade gold results to be followed-up, which complement the initial rock chip sample results from areas along strike from Lone Pine and the King Solomon project,” he said.

Hawkstone is now in the process of submitting permits for drill testing at Lone Pine and King Solomon.

Hawkstone has ended the day in the grey with shares trading at 1 cent each in a $15.11 million market cap.
