Medical data and tech company HeraMED (HMD) had landed a new contract with Joondalup Obstetrics and Gynaecology Group (JOGG) in Western Australia to deploy its HeraCARE platform for 120 pregnancies annually.

The private practice group offers a range of private and public obstetric services across Joondalup Private Hospital, Joondalup Health Campus, and Fiona Stanley Hospital. It caters to patients requiring antenatal care, childbirth, postnatal care, and high-risk pregnancies.

The new contract includes an initial purchase of 120 HeraCARE licences and HeraBEAT devices for a 12-month period.

Under the agreement, JOGG will pay a licencing fee of $690 per pregnancy for each HeraCARE platform licence and HeraBEAT device.

HeraCARE’s real-time data-sharing and smart alert capabilities enable obstetricians to closely monitor patients, allowing for any early identification of potential complications and the creation of optimised treatment plans.

HMD reported the contract will help “refine and improve” its solutions to better meet the needs of the demographic it serves, plus will assist in identifying and addressing any gaps in the healthcare system.

“The deployment of HeraCARE amongst private practice groups represents an important pillar in our go-to-market and engagement strategy, and we welcome the addition of JOGG as our latest partner,” HeraMED Director of Strategic Partnerships, Australia & New Zealand Anoushka Gungadin said.

The new deal marks HeraMED’s second private obstetrician practice to deploy HeraCARE, following the Melbourne Mothers private practice that signed an agreement in November 2022.

The parties have planned to immediately deploy HeraCARE as part of the new standard of care for JOGG.

HeraMED was up 5.06 per cent and trading at 8.3 cents at 11:21 am AEST.
