A heritage survey is underway across priority drill targets at Lodestar Minerals’ (LSR) Earaheedy project in Western Australia.

The survey is being undertaken by the Traditional Owners working with the Mungarlu Ngurrarankatja Rirraunkaja Aboriginal Corporation.

It will cover the MC8 and MC9 copper-lead-zinc targets, identified via fixed loop electromagnetic (FLEM) surveys.

The targets are part of a proterozoic sedimentary-mafic sequence within the project, which the company believes could host sedimentary exhalative deposits, volcanogenic mafic sulphide-style and epigenetic, structurally controlled base metal mineralisation.

The company is waiting on further results from a regional geochemical program which will guide the selection of additional FLEM and drill targets from the 30 conductors identified by the airborne electromagnetic survey.

Lodestar has begun shortlisting drilling companies in anticipation of receiving heritage clearance and approval of the program of work to greenlight drilling.

LSR shares were trading grey at 0.6 cents at 12:48 pm AEDT.
