Welcome to HotCopper highlights where we take a look at the stocks that got investors talking. It’s the end of week 38, here’s what the HotCopper community has been talking about this week.
Starting with the most discussed stocks, and once again BrainChip is generating plenty of chatter after launching its new AKD1500 development card. The card gives developers a way to test BrainChip’s neuromorphic AI technology directly in desktops, workstations and industrial PCs.
On the forums, the conversation is split between excitement around the expanding Akida product suite and the bigger question of how quickly that tech actually translates into meaningful commercial revenue.
Telix pharma is also commanding attention after the FDA approval of Pixclara – its brain cancer imaging drug. The approval makes Pixclara the first FDA-approved imaging drug for glioma, giving Telix another commercial product in its precision medicine portfolio.
And Tivan is another stock firmly on the radar. The company has secured approval to expand its Baucau copper-gold project in Timor-Leste by about 50 square kilometres, capturing a large magnetic anomaly. That follows the extension of its Turiscai project and recent assay results, with investors now focused on what the enlarged exploration footprint could deliver ahead of drilling.
Moving to the most viewed stocks, and DroneShield has really been in the spotlight. The company recently completed installation and acceptance of its DroneSentry-X Mk2 systems on US military Infantry Squad Vehicles, reaching initial operational capability. The news has reignited discussion around DroneShield’s growing defence pipeline, while the stock’s main news thread has now passed 10,000 posts and 3.3 million views.
PLS Group is also gaining plenty of attention as investors debate the lithium price outlook. The HotCopper conversation remains heavily focused on spodumene prices and the share price chart, with dedicated threads now running into the millions of views. The company has also just updated shareholders on its dividend, keeping capital returns firmly in the discussion.
And finally, 4DMedical copped plenty of views this week. The conversation on the forum is centred on the company’s rapid commercial expansion in medical imaging. 4DX is experiencing growing scan volumes and a sizeable cash position following recent capital raisings. But.. there’s also plenty of debate around the stock’s elevated short interest and whether the market is correctly pricing the company’s future growth.
