This week, Liontown (ASX: LTR) continued to dominate attention on the forum. It was yet another big week for the lithium producer, after reporting its FY26 results. Revenue reached $639 million as Kathleen Valley continued its transition underground.

Then came another major move, with Liontown announcing it had struck a deal to earn up to 100 per cent of the Centenario lithium brine project in Argentina. That has given the stock another angle beyond Kathleen Valley, and judging by the activity on HotCopper, investors are particularly focused on what the additional lithium exposure could mean for Liontown’s longer-term growth story.

Nanoveu (ASX: NVU) was also in major focus this week. The company announced a US patent had been granted for its object detection technology. That follows a busy run of announcements for Nanoveu, including a US$300,000 pilot order for its EyeFly3D technology. This patent announcement quickly became the centre of attention on HotCopper, generating thousands of views and ongoing discussion around the commercial potential of the technology.

Then there’s Zip Co (ASX: ZIP), which has had a particularly lively week on the forum. Zip’s FY26 results remain the main talking point, with the company reporting record earnings and strong growth across its US business. Since then, investors have also been watching changes in substantial holdings and a new US funding facility. On HotCopper, the conversation has been split between the bulls pointing to Zip’s earnings growth and valuation, and a more cautious camp questioning the share price after its sharp recent moves.

Moving to the most discussed stocks, and Kaoko Metals (ASX: KAO) has really caught fire this week. Kaoko released results from the first holes of its maiden drilling program at the Chalkos project in Namibia, with visual copper mineralisation reported in those initial holes.

That immediately sparked a wave of activity on HotCopper. The announcement thread had quickly attracted thousands of views, alongside fresh threads around the drilling results and the company’s broader copper story. For investors following KAO, the focus now appears firmly on what the ongoing drilling can actually demonstrate as the program progresses.

Power Minerals (ASX: PNN) is another one to watch. The company has been drilling at its Santa Anna project in Brazil, with recent results extending broad, high-grade rare earth mineralisation. Power Minerals subsequently entered a trading halt this week, adding another layer of anticipation around the stock.

And finally, Manuka Resources (ASX: MKR). Manuka restarted gold production last month, and this week strengthened its management team before entering a trading halt on September 3. That halt has naturally become the dominant topic on the forum, with investors speculating about what could be behind the announcement while also keeping an eye on the company’s return to production. For now, the trading halt is the key catalyst on the board, with the market waiting for the next announcement.
