Iceni Gold (ICL) has had further success at the TOTK target area, hitting a third significant intersection.

The TOTK target area is located with North-1 – which is one of six targets at Iceni’s 14 Mile Well Project near Laverton in Western Australia.

Diamond drilling is continuing at TOTK to follow up surface gold anomalism and visible high-grade gold.

Previous sampling intersected up to 135 grams of gold per tonne (g/t), 1220g/t silver and 2.06 per cent tellurium.

Additionally, previous drilling has intersected strongly altered and sulphide-bearing granite and porphyries.

The new intercept has a downhole width of around 96 metres with the alteration zone cut by multiple instances of quartz veining and felsic to intermediate porphyries.

This is pleasing for Iceni as it confirms the continuity of the alteration zone to the north.

Diamond core will be sent to Kalgoorlie for processing and sampling with results to be reported on once completed.

Executive Chairman Brian Rodan commented on the drilling program.

“To have intersected strongly altered and sulphide bearing granite and porphyries in a third intersection with strong alteration and similar down hold widths of +90 metres thick so early in the drilling program at TOTK is very exciting,” Mr Rodan said.

“It must be noted that assay results from FMDD0012 and 15 remain a number of weeks away, so the gold mineralisation potential is currently unknown.

“However the company is sufficiently encouraged from the visual results of the diamond core showing alteration and sulphides to continue drilling along strike and down dip at TOTK.”

Shares in Iceni are down 2.13 per cent on the market and are trading at 23 cents at 1:30 pm AEST.
