Iceni Gold (ICL) has identified a four-kilometre long gold and multi-element soil anomaly at the 14 Mile Well Project in Western Australia.

The anomaly, which is known as East Well, is located within the Guyer target area and is one of seven high priority targets identified.

East Well was discovered via analysis of results from an ongoing ultra fine fraction (UFF+) soil program. This involves a physical step to retain the microparticles and then a chemical step to test for the presence of gold and other elements.

The anomaly displays a strong gold-tungsten-tellurium-molybdenum geochemical association believed to be underlain by granodiorite.

Additionally, it has a four-kilometre strike, a two-kilometre width and consists of three priority zones.

Zone one consists of coherent gold and multi-element anomalism, zone two consists of a narrow coherent gold anomaly with offset multi-element anomalism, while zone three consists of only a gold anomaly.

This is the second gold anomaly identified at 14 Mile Well in a matter of weeks after a five-kilometre long anomaly was discovered in early October.

Shares in Iceni were up 1.75 per cent on the market and were trading at 29 cents at 12:43 pm AEDT.
