Iceni Gold (ICL) is announcing the results from recent drilling at its 14 Mile Well Gold Project in WA.

The junior explorer has been carrying out drilling at the TOTK area within 14 Mile Well, with the first hole intersecting around a 90 metre zone of alteration.

The company said the alteration zones were hosted within the Danjo Granite and lay beneath the outcropping, high grade gold bearing TOTK vein.

Iceni’s drilling at TOTK is testing areas beneath known gold anomalism identified in surface sampling, which found up to 135 grams of gold per tonne (g/t), 1220g/t silver and 2.06g/t tellurium.

The second diamond hole at TOTK tested alternate structural orientations and the strong alteration zone to the east, with the drill core now being sent to Kalgoorlie.

From there it will be geologically logged and sampled, before being sent to a lab for assaying, at which point results will be available.

All up, Iceni Gold said it had six target areas within its 600 square kilometre tenement package at 14 Mile Well, which is near Laverton.

It’s already carried out exploration work at one of the targets, Deep Well, and plans to test all the targets at 14 Mile Well with 25 diamond drill holes.

Company shares were up 2.7 per cent after today’s news at 19 cents per share at 2:20 pm AEST.
