Selection of gold nuggets and specimen stone recently recovered from Guyer North Source: Iceni Gold

Iceni Gold (ICL) has struck high grade gold at the Guyer target area in Western Australia.

Ongoing rock chip sampling conducted across the project area has yielded “significant” gold results, with findings from Granite Contact South, Guyer North and East Well including up to 136 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, 126 g/t gold and 67.4 g/t gold.

More than 100 gold nuggets were unearthed during the past four weeks, with a total of 700 nuggets discovered along the Guyer Trend to date.

Iceni Technical Director David Nixon said the results provide “strong evidence” of deeper buried mineralisation.

“The Guyer target area continues to deliver in-situ gold bearing rock chips and significant numbers of gold nuggets over key areas, and these results continue to strengthen the previous results from broad spaced air core holes, specifically at Guyer North, where a number of significant targets are being prepared for future exploration drilling,” he said.

The company is now preparing its Guyer North target for exploration drilling.

Iceni Gold soared 14.8 per cent, trading at 7 cents at 11:11 am AEST.
