Inca Minerals (ICG) has reported the highest-grade silver result the MaCauley Project has ever seen.

The company undertook a rock chip sampling program which collected 110 samples from 12 prospects within the Queensland-based project.

As announced at the end of August, Inca identified significant skarn-style and porphyry/intrusive-style copper mineralisation which increased the potential of the MaCauley Project.

However, today’s assay results have further elevated MaCauley’s potential as a tier-one project with proven copper-silver-gold mineralisation across an area of
approximately 12 kilometres by 10 kilometres.

Best results came from four different prospects with the best silver grade coming from the Eckleburg West prospect. The company reported grades of up to 2250 grams of silver per tonne (g/t) — the highest silver result ever reported from the MaCauley Project.

Additional results from Eckleburg West include 1.87 per cent copper and 639g/t silver.

Best results from the Copper Cliffs prospect include 7.04 per cent copper and 220g/t silver and 4.6 per cent copper, 11g/t silver and 0.18g/t gold.

Known mineralisation at Copper Cliffs extends over a 425-metre strike and remains open to the west and east.

Other notable grades include 4.9 per cent copper and 264g/t silver from the Wallaroo prospect.

Inca Minerals plans to extend mapping and sampling and may undertake a grid soil geochemical program to identify further zones of mineralisation. It will also conduct a 3000-line kilometre survey which will help to refine the northern prospects and Mt Podge.

Company shares were up 14.3 per cent to trade at 16 cents at 10:17 am AEST.
