Indiana Resources (IDA) has identified new drill targets at its Central Gawler gold project in South Australia.

Following its auger calcrete geochemical sampling program undertaken at the end of 2021, Indiana has identified several new coherent gold-in-calcrete anomalies.

A total of 900 samples were collected in what was the first regional exploration program completed at the project.

The samples have been analysed for gold and additional pathfinder elements to identify
mineralisation and aid lithological mapping.

The gold anomalism was identified along the Lake Labyrinth Shear Zone, including a large 6.5 kilometre by 800 metre anomaly at the Ealbara prospect.

Indiana has interpreted this zone to be a pathway for ore forming fluids that produced the mineralisation at both the Minos and Ariadne prospects.

“We are highly encouraged by the coherent gold anomalism identified along the Lake Labyrinth Shear Zone at Ealbara and Partridge,” Indiana’s Technical Director Felicity Repacholi-Muir said.

“The strong gold anomaly returned at Earea Dam is of particular interest, and
further highlights the underlying potential over this region.”

The company’s exploration team is now reviewing the findings with detailed mapping and infill auger lines planned to better constrain the anomaly boundaries ahead of drilling.

In other news, Indiana has completed reverse circulation drilling at the Minos prospect and assays are anticipated to be received later this quarter.

Shares were trading 9.09 per cent higher at six cents each at 2:40 pm AEST.
