InVert has drilled high-grade graphite at the Morogoro project in Tanzania.

InVert Graphite (ASX:IVG) has confirmed Morogoro’s potential, with further positive drill results from the Kumba prospect returning high-grade graphite. More than 21% total graphitic carbon (TGC) was recorded in diamond drilling.

Company chief Andrew Lawson said drilling has validated the Tanzania project as a standout high-grade graphite system, with wide zones of mineralisation confirmed from surface and exceptional grades continuing across several holes.

“Diamond drilling has reinforced the thickness, continuity and quality of the graphite, giving us increased confidence in the scale of the opportunity,” he explained.

“With assays now complete from the maiden drill program, we are planning our next steps post-wet season to accelerate our understanding of Kumba’s potential to support a significant, high-grade graphite resource.”

First-pass drilling for the Kumba prospect was designed to follow up on the previous high-grade trench results and confirm the presence of mineralisation to a depth of approximately 80 metres. The shallow 30° dip of the mapped graphitic units meant an initial broad drill spacing could be used with a limited number of holes to provide an effective and cost- efficient first pass and allow for an optimised follow-up.

Higher grade intersections in hole DDUM25-002 of 45 metres at 9.91% TGC included the highest grade graphite interval drilled to date, with over 21.49% TGC intersected. These lie adjacent to the previously reported broad mineralisation within RCUM25-013 of 90m @ 7.9% TGC2 along section.

Diamond drilling was undertaken to provide density measurements and to confirm the quality of the RC drilling. (Drilling paused when the wet season started in December; these results represent the remaining assays.)

Some basic field work was undertaken to plan logistics and access for CY26 while everything was wet. Photogrammetric surveying to support the creation of a terrain model for resource estimates was also run, and trenching is being undertaken while field staff are onsite, with samples kept for future analysis.

An RC rig has been left on-site through the wet season so that the company can restart quickly as required, coming out of the wet season.

IVG ended Wednesday up +3.45%, at 3cps.
