Investigator Resources (IVR) has begun a 6750-metre reverse circulation (RC) drilling program near its Paris silver project in Western Australia.

The drilling will follow up on programs undertaken in 2020 and 2021 that focused on opportunities to identify additional resources with the potential to enhance the economics of the Paris Silver Project in South Australia.

A total of 51 RC holes will be drilled across six prospects, four of which were drilled in the 2020 and 2021 programs.

Investigator will drill 15 holes at the Ares Prospect to assess the geophysical features such as gravity, magnetic and induced polarisation (IP).

Previous results include one metre at 96 grams per tonne (g/t) silver and one metre at 0.13g/t gold from 66 metres, as well as four metres at 0.17 per cent lead from 90 metres and 27 metres at 0.17 per cent zinc from 86 metres.

This drilling has been designed to extend the coverage over an expanded area within the prospect.

A total of 21 holes will be drilled at the Apollo Prospect to assess the identified demagnetised feature as well as the source of anomalous surface geochemistry.

Prior drilling at Apollo intersected two metres at 243g/t silver from 72 metres and two metres at 37g/t silver from 76 metres.

Further, seven holes will be drilled at the Helen East Prospect to test basement mineralisation within a circular gravity low associated with silver in soil anomalies.

Previous drilling intersected 49 metres at 1.09 per cent lead from 36 metres, including 14 metres at 48g/t silver from 56 metres with seven metres at 62g/t silver from 62 metres.

“These prospects are close to our Paris Silver Project and delineation of any mineralisation that complements the feed to the planned Paris Process Plant will have a significant effect on the Project’s economics,” Managing Director Andrew McIlwain said.

“The Investigator team have hit the ground running this year. Whilst the rain delayed the planned start of our 2022 field work, our 3300-metre drill program across the Uno-Morgans tenements has recently been completed, and we have now commenced this 6750 metres of drilling on the targets proximal to Paris.”

Investigator was down 4.17 per cent on the market, with shares trading at 6.9 cents at 2:15 pm AEDT.
