Investigator Resources (IVR) has intersected up to 1170g/t silver from the Apollo prospect within the Paris silver project in South Australia.

This result comes from the company’s 7600-metre regional drill program undertaken to follow up on the phase one drilling program.

Investigator completed drilling in April with 54 reverse circulation (RC) holes drilled across six prospects.

Based on the visual observations, samples for the first two holes were fast-tracked with a result of seven metres at 700g/t silver from 150 metres including four metres at 1170g/t silver from 150 metres returned.

Managing Director Andrew McIlwain said the 1170g/t silver result is the highest grade silver intersection the company has ever identified outside of the Paris deposit.

“[The result] demonstrates that there remains significant potential for the discovery of additional silver resources proximal to Paris,” Mr McIlwain said.

The company said assays for the remaining 52 holes are pending and expects to report them shortly.

Follow-up diamond drilling has been planned to improve the understanding of the structural setting of Apollo.

Investigator was up 1.92 per cent with shares ending the day at 5.3 cents.
