Investigator Resources (IVR) has intersected up to 383g/t silver from its Uno Morgans project in South Australia.

In February, the company began a 3330-metre reverse circulation (RC) drilling program across seven prospects supported by historical drilling, geophysical analysis, prospectivity review and evaluation work.

It targeted surface geochemical anomalies generated from recent ultra-fine fraction soil sampling as well as northeast and northwest oriented structural features.

Of the 27 holes drilled, 24 returned reportable intersections.

The best result came from Twelve Mile which intersected 12 metres at 240g/t silver from 78 metres including six metres at 383g/t silver from 81 metres.

Extensive zinc intersections were also encountered near-surface at Uno North with a best result of 123 metres at 0.48 per cent zinc from 15 metres including 24 metres at 1.52 per cent zinc from 102 metres.

“The discovery of high-grade silver mineralisation at the Twelve Mile prospect is really encouraging and testament to the prospectivity of the district and the efforts of the Investigator team,” Managing Director Andrew McIlwain commented.

“This strike rate and the results reported here revitalise interest in the Uno Morgans project, an area where Investigator have strengthened their tenement holding with the recent granting of the Corunna Exploration Licence.”

Planning is now underway for follow up soil sampling, mapping and drilling.

Investigator was up 2.38 per cent with shares trading at 4.3 cents at 12:38 pm AEST.
