Jindalee Resources (JRL) has begun diamond drilling at its 100 per cent owned Clayton North Project in Nevada.

The Clayton North Project lies 22 kilometres north of the Silver Peak brine operations which is the only producing lithium mining operation in the United States.

It has been subject to historical auger and rock chip sampling with the diamond drill program to be the first time the project has been tested by drilling.

Jindalee’s current drilling program will follow up on anomalous lithium results from previous surface sampling activities where up to 930 parts per million (ppm) lithium was identified.

Up to 12 holes have been approved to be drilled to test the thickness of the cover and the lithium-bearing sediments.

Drilling is expected to take roughly three weeks to complete with first assays anticipated by early October.

Furthermore, studies and drill permitting is currently ongoing for Jindalee’s other lithium project, McDermitt, with no delays experienced so far.

Jindalee has ended the day 5.63 per cent in the green with shares trading at $2.44 in a $123.3 million market cap.
