Kaoko Metals (ASX: KAO) has expanded its drilling program at the Chalkos Copper-Silver Project in Namibia to at least 15,000m, while a second diamond rig has begun drilling at the Donkey Hill prospect.

Five diamond holes have now been completed at the Otniel prospect, with a sixth underway as Kaoko continues to test the geometry, continuity and extent of the copper mineralisation identified during the initial drilling campaign.
Assays from the first two Otniel holes are expected in the next two to three weeks, providing the first quantitative results from the maiden drilling program.
At Donkey Hill East, recent fieldwork has extended the mapped surface expression of copper mineralisation by more than 700m, taking the total mapped footprint to more than 1.5km.
Selected rock-chip samples included grades of up to more than 50% copper, although Kaoko cautions that these surface samples are not representative of average grades across the broader prospect or indicative of subsurface continuity.
The second rig is now drilling at Donkey Hill to test the depth and continuity of the surface mineralisation, allowing Kaoko to advance both prospects concurrently.
