King River Resources (KRR) has begun a 2500 metre reverse circulation (RC) program at its Mt Remarkable Project.

Mt Remarkable lies 200 kilometres southwest of Kununurra in the East Kimberly, Western Australia.

Drilling will test for high-grade gold mineralisation where the best result of four metres at 113.29g/t gold including one metre at 346g/t gold has been returned.

Work will initially focus on the Trudi Vein where multiple high-grade results have been intersected.

Multiple targets will be tested on the Trudi Vein including Trudi Main, Trudi Offset, Trudi West, and Trudi East.

More than 30 RC holes have been planned with work expected to be completed towards the end of the dry season, in late November to early December.

Drilling will also target the Jeniffer North Prospect, the Catherine Vein, and the Gemma Offset Vein.

Additionally, reconnaissance exploration has been planned for early next dry season over King River’s extensive holding in the region.

“The previous drilling at the Mt Remarkable Trudi Vein has yielded some excellent high-grade epithermal gold values,” the company posted.

“The primary objective of this current 2020 program is to investigate the possibility of an offset of this high-grade gold mineralisation by targeting an area approximately 120 to 150 metres east of the original discovery,” it added.

King River is up 6.90 per cent on the market and shares trading for 3.1 cents each at 2:30 pm AEDT.
