Kingfisher Mining (KFM) has intersected a broad zone of copper mineralisation at its flagship Boolaloo Project in Western Australia.

The company recently completed a maiden diamond drilling program at the Copper Strike, K15 and K16 Prospects.

Copper mineralisation was intersected in all holes. Drilling at Copper Strike intersected multiple zones of mineralisation, including a 16 metre disseminated copper sulphides, which have not been assayed in historic drilling.

Kingfisher’s key objective of the drilling has been met by providing valuable insights into the mineralisation.

CEO James Farrell is pleased to have completed the maiden diamond drill program at Boolaloo.

“The results from Copper Strike, in particular, are very encouraging, confirming our view of the potential scale of the broader project and mineralised system with multiple styles of vein, fracturefill and sediment-hosted disseminated mineralisation intersected in the drilling,” he said.

“The company is now preparing for a large-scale airborne electromagnetic survey which will cover 20km of strike of the target geology. Together with the results from the current diamond drilling, the survey will provide the main input for unlocking the exploration potential of the company’s tenure in the Ashburton Basin and form the basis for RC drilling programs to be undertaken later in the year.”

Kingfisher is now preparing for a 5000 metre reverse circulation (RC) drilling program, expected to commence in August.

Kingfisher shares were trading at 23.5 cents each at 10.10 am AEST.
