Kalamazoo Resources has announced the completion of its preliminary reverse circulation drill program at its Cork Tree Copper project in WA’s highly prospective Doolgunna region.

The Cork Tree project covers 369 square kilometers and is the most advanced target within the area.

Past drillings have uncovered extensive shallow copper anomalies with frequent values in excess of 0.1 percent copper. Other base metal prospects have been found such as Merah, Terra Rossa, Elmo, and Brimstone.

Kalamazoo hopes these explorations will develop new base metal targets within Cork Tree even though regional geophysical and geochemical surveys from previous areas have been poor.

Four holes were drilled at 624 meters at the Elmo and Cork Tree Copper prospects.

Maximum copper values of 2,140ppm, 0.21 per cent, have been recorded here.

Historical explorations have indicated encouraging copper potential with regional soil samples defining an anomaly of results ranging from 2ppm to 25ppm copper in an area of 1,950 meters by 600 meters.

Resampling of abnormal copper intervals will be undertaken on a one-meter basis with the development of the next stage of exploration to focus on the anomaly and its copper potential.
