LAC will continue drilling at Astoria, on the eastern corridor of the Rouyn project.

Lac Gold (ASX: LAC) is set to accelerate drilling at the Rouyn gold project in Canada after reporting strong assay results from a further 20 diamond drillholes.

The drilling success is part of the company’s ongoing program at the Astoria deposit within Rouyn.

MD, Andrew Stocks, said the latest 20 holes add to a growing body of drilling demonstrating this relationship repeatedly across Astoria.

“This is another strong set of drilling results from Astoria. These results continue the pattern we have seen throughout this year’s program of broad zones of gold mineralisation surrounding higher-grade cores, with the drilling continuing to build our confidence in the continuity of the mineralised system,” he said.

“With each round of drilling, we are building a better understanding of the scale and character of the Astoria gold system and, importantly, the distribution and continuity of the higher-grade mineralisation within that broader system. This is important because it helps us to target extensions of the mineralisation more effectively and efficiently.

“There is still immense opportunity to keep growing the known mineralisation at Astoria and we will continue to drill, generating steady news flow. At the same time, our growing understanding of the Rouyn Project is giving us the confidence to begin looking beyond Astoria and consider where else we should be targeting.”

Broad mineralised intervals including 86.0m at 1.12 grams per tonne (g/t), 86.6m ay 0.59 g/t and 55.55m at 0.74 g/t contain materially higher-grade internal zones, while further significant higher-grade intersections were returned.

Mr Stocks told shareholders, taken together with results reported earlier in 2026, the drilling continues to build confidence in the scale and continuity of the Astoria mineralised system.

Drilling will continue at Astoria, on the eastern corridor of Rouyn. Lac Gold has also commenced reviewing opportunities to expand drilling into other areas of the broader Rouyn project.

The 2026 drilling program is progressively improving Lac Gold’s understanding of the scale, geometry and continuity of mineralisation at Astoria and providing an increasingly robust geological framework for the next mineral resource estimate (MRE).

The latest results will be incorporated with earlier 2026 drilling, historical drilling and the company’s evolving geological interpretation as part of the planned update to the Rouyn MRE,

The existing Rouyn mineral resource comprises 1.66 million ounces of gold at an average grade of 3.28 g/t in the Indicated and Inferred categories.

LAC was up 1.43% to 35.5¢.
