Laneway Resources (LNY) has received environmental approval to process Agate Creek ore at the Georgetown Processing Plant in Northern Queensland.

The company said this is a milestone achievement and provides it with a clear path to commencing ore processing.

It has recently begun a refurbishment of the processing plant, with site works and electrical and mechanical refurbishment programs underway.

Drilling and blasting of ore at Agate Creek is due to start next week, with earthmovers to mobilise shortly after.

Managing Director Brad Gordon believes the approval will help accelerate its growth in the future.

“We are pleased with the rapid progress being made towards the restart of the Georgetown plant which will enable us to take control of our processing and
development future and provide a clear pathway for Laneway to execute on its significant growth pipeline,” Mr Gordon said.

Shares were trading flat today at 0.5 cents each as of 11:39 am AEST.
