Larvotto Resources (LRV) has identified “encouraging” nickel and chrome results at the Dickie Dyke prospect within its Eyre project in Western Australia.

The results come from a geochemical soil survey undertaken at the prospect, which is positioned 70 kilometres east of Norseman in the Eastern Goldfields.

The sampling identified a strong nickel and chrome geochemical high. The company said geological mapping identified this was associated with the Jimberlana Dyke, an extensive intrusive rock unit known for its nickel, copper and platinum group elements (PGE) mineralisation.

The main nickel geochemical high at Dickie Dyke was nearly two kilometres long and had a peak nickel value of 1010 parts per million which is up to 20 times higher than background samples

Larvotto Managing Director Ron Heeks said the results highlight the mineralisation potential of the Jimberlana Dyke, and follow up geophysics and drilling is warranted.

“Larvotto now has numerous drill ready targets at Eyre, the first two of which are being drilled this month at Merivale for lithium and Merivale South for rare earths,” Mr Heeks said.

Heritage surveys for the separate Mt Norcott nickel and associated base metal anomaly have been completed, with initial drill testing set to commence shortly.

Larvotto Resources was up 8.57 per cent, trading at 19 cents at 12:52 pm AEDT.
