Larvotto Resources (LRV) has released updates on its three exploration projects in Australian and New Zealand.

The company reported its Eyre project in Western Australia has continued to demonstrate “exciting” potential to host multi-commodity discoveries.

Initial drill results from the Merivale South prospect produced “very encouraging” total rare earth oxide (TREO) results, including multiple wide, near-surface intersections.

Metallurgical testwork is currently underway to determine the amenability for potential ionic clay rare earth oxide mineralisation to leaching, which will lead to follow up drilling.

Meanwhile, improved weather conditions enabled the company to complete a 1924-metre diamond drilling program at its Ohakuri gold project in New Zealand, along with the start of sampling and exploration at the company’s Mt Isa project in Queensland.

The Ohakuri gold project tested geochemical and geophysical anomalies, which indicated
the potential presence of deep epithermal gold feeder zones.

LRV is now awaiting the results of geological logging from Ohakuri and said it would take a further four weeks to sample and analyse the diamond core cuts collected.

Following this, the Larvotto crew mobilised to the Mt Isa site to commence soil geochemical program sampling of its late 2022 core drilling and continue initial explorations of the project area.
