Lefroy Exploration’s (LEX) joint venture partner, Gold Fields, has begun an aircore (AC) drilling program over Lake Lefroy and Lake Randall.

This program is a follow-up to the extensive AC drilling that began in late January 2019 and was part of the $25 million farm-in and joint venture (JV) agreement between Lefroy and Gold Fields that began in June 2018.

This AC program is designed to improve the gold anomaly definition before a scheduled follow-up reverse circulation program can begin.

Gold Fields began a major full-field AC drilling program in late January 2019.

This program involved completing approximately 350 vertical holes spaced 200 metres apart to cover most of Lake Lefroy.

In August of that same year, Gold Fields completed the full AC program on both Lake Lefroy and Lake Randall with 776 AC holes totalling 40,421 metres having been completed.

This program yielded foundation geochemical and geological data that provided information for deeper drill testing.

Results from this program uncovered multiple new gold anomalies in Lake Lefroy and expanded the size of already existing anomalies.

An important new anomaly in Lake Lefroy is known as Eastern shoreline where a gold trend over 5000 metres long has been identified.

Better results from this gold trend include seven metres at 0.70g/t gold from 74 metres and six metres at 1.53g/t gold from 88 metres.

Initial AC drilling completed at Lake Randall in 2019 also generated new anomalies.

Lake Randall is situated approximately five kilometres east of Lake Lefroy and is a similar lake type.

This current AC program is designed to improve and extend the Eastern shoreline, Lake Randall and other anomalies.

This drilling is expected to be completed in April and results are expected in May 2020.

Lefroy has ended the day with no change and shares trading for 18.5 cents each in a $18.59 million market cap.
