Legend Mining (LEG) has found the best hole it has drilled so far at its Mawson discovery.

Hole 17 at the Mawson discovery within its Rockford Project in Western Australia, has intersected a total of 30.05 metres of massive sulphides in three intervals.

Results included 19.8 metres from 227.8 to 247.6 metres downhole and 7.45 metres from 158.6 to 166.05 metres downhole.

“The 19.8-metre intercept of massive sulphides makes hole 17 the best Mawson hole we have drilled to date,” Managing Director Mark Wilson said.

“Holes 14, 15 and 16 have all intersected sulphides of varying widths and styles and add to the story,” he added.

Ore-grade mineralisation was confirmed at hole 13 within the prospect. Results at this hole showed 12 metres at 2.36 per cent nickel, 1.36 per cent copper and 0.12 per cent cobalt from 239.2 metres.

“These results add to those previously announced and indicate something big and close. We are excited by the challenge of finding it,” Mark told the market.

Over the next five days at drill hole 17, the company is planning drill core sampling, which will follow the completion of structural logging.

On market close, Legend is up 13.3 per cent and is selling shares for 17 cents each.
